Confirm the original analog-cluster baseline

Before disassembly, confirm that the car still uses the original mechanical instrument cluster. This guide is not intended for vehicles already equipped with a factory digital cockpit.

Begin releasing the trim beside the cluster area

Use a non-metal trim tool and release the surrounding dashboard trim progressively instead of lifting one corner aggressively.

Continue opening the cluster-side trim path

Release enough surrounding trim to expose the instrument-cluster removal path without forcing the dashboard bezel.

Remove the side vent trim

Open the vent area fully so the cluster surround can be released cleanly. If the trim remains blocked, do not force the cluster outward.

Release the upper cluster surround

Continue opening the dashboard hood and instrument-cluster surround. Apply pressure only to the trim structure, not to the cluster lens or display area.

Pull the original instrument cluster forward

Once the trim path is clear, carefully bring the original cluster forward from the dashboard opening.

Move the cluster to a clean workbench

Do not perform the internal conversion while the cluster is hanging inside the dashboard. Use a clean, static-safe work surface and organize screws and small components carefully.

Begin releasing the front trim and decorative frame. Hold the housing by the edges and discharge static before touching internal electronics.

Continue separating the front panel

Release the remaining tabs carefully. Avoid rough pressure that can damage trim clips or visible surfaces.

Remove the original needles carefully

Remove the needles evenly and keep the internal gauge hardware stable. Avoid twisting the shafts aggressively.

Finish the needle-removal stage

Keep the work surface clean and protect the remaining mechanical components before continuing with the internal transfer.

Disconnect the ribbon and board path

Handle the PCB by its edges. Do not touch electronic components directly, and do not pull ribbon connections at an angle.

Release the internal retaining points and keep the buzzer path intact

During the internal transfer, make sure the original buzzer or speaker and its mounting path remain correctly installed.

Separate and prepare the housing sections

With the housing open, confirm that the required original components and mounting points are ready for the upgraded digital cluster assembly.

Fix the internal board and close the housing evenly

Make sure the internal board sits flat, fastener points are secure, ribbons are not trapped, and the housing closes evenly without pressure on the LCD.

Reconnect the cluster and complete the first-boot check

Reconnect the wiring, reinstall the instrument cluster in the dashboard and power the vehicle before closing all dashboard trim.

Confirm startup, warning indicators, steering-wheel controls, menu response and vehicle-data display before completing the installation.
